A little about me…

Local Beauty was founded in 2021 after I recognized the individual needs of my clients were evolving due to the ever changing world post pandemic. Each guest is top priority! That includes hair goals, hair integrity and salon safety.

I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist since 2005. Having worked for salons in pretty much every capacity (assistant, stylist, manager), I finally found my footing as an Independent Stylist at Modish Salon in 2015, which allowed me to grow and build my business as well as brand. I now run my own successful Salon Suite; Local Beauty!

Throughout my career, I’ve enjoyed keeping up with the latest hair trends, whether continuing my education through classes, trade shows, or online forums. My color services include dimensional brunettes, traditional foil highlights, as well as balayage and baby-light techniques. I am certified in tape-in extensions as well as micro bead extensions and most recently mastered hand-tied extensions in January of 2022.

When not at the salon, I can be found spending time at Philbrook Museum of Art as a volunteer docent tour guide. I enjoy sharing my love of art with school age children and find it rewarding to give back to the Tulsa community. I throughly enjoy all things vintage, supporting local businesses, houseplants and gardening. If I’m not home watching a noir film with my hubby and two cats, then you can easily catch us in Midtown trying the latest foodie destination.

I’m deeply inspired by art all around me and consider myself lucky to be able to create everyday with my clients; whether it’s trying out the new latest trend, or maintaining a classic favorite! I’d like to say a huge thank you to being able to do that everyday for the last 20 years! My treasured clients, old and new, make that a reality for me daily, and without you it wouldn’t be possible.
